The 2nd General In-Person Meeting of the EndoTheranostics project was held in Naples, at the Centro Congressi of the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (UniNa) / University of Naples Federico II, bringing together all partners involved in this ambitious European Research Council (ERC) Synergy Grant initiative.
⚖️ Beyond the updates provided by the various research groups, the meeting proved to be an engaging and fruitful occasion to navigate the fine line between what is currently feasible and the ambitious frontiers of the project, in an ongoing process of refinement and adjustment. This dynamic balancing act is an essential exercise, particularly when addressing complex and high-stakes objectives such as those tackled by EndoTheranostics.
✨ It was an opportunity to perform the first preliminary tests of both the concept of the eversion robot and the principle of hypo-tubes for tissue manipulation.
Each session allowed an open exchange of ideas, where participants critically evaluated potential solutions and explored practical strategies for advancing the project. This iterative push-and-pull approach played a key role in ensuring that the project remains at the cutting edge of robotic-assisted diagnosis and therapy of colorectal cancer, while maintaining a clear trajectory toward real-world applications.
The discussions reaffirmed the importance of collaborative synergy, offering valuable opportunities to optimize both conceptual and technical aspects.
